Grow & Bloom™, Inc. was originally founded as a Florida corporation to meet the growing business ideas the founding corporate members Mark Schoellig and Alisa Schumacher. The Corporate Umbrella of Grow & Bloom™, Inc. includes Alternative Heating of North America™, Weekend Wings and The Potted Daisy™.

Due to Mark's keen interest in exploring alternative and innovative energy and heating products, and Mark's extensive Plumbing/Heating background a business decision was made open a subsidiary of the Corporation: Alternative Heating of North America™ (AHONA™), looking to build a distribution network of qualified Dealers to provide alternative heating products to the public. In the spring of 2003 AHONA™ became an Executive Dealer (Distributor) for a large Outdoor Wood Furnace Company located in Beatrice, Nebraska. AHONA™ was able to develop a distribution network throughout the Northeast.

AHONA™ adopted a corporate mission to continually strive to stay in the forefront of design and technology, balancing the offering of consumer's products that improve quality of life complimented by affordable pricing.

Over the past several years legislation has been implemented in the local, state and regional areas of the United States to limit or ban the use of outdoor furnaces due to excessive smoke.

In order to assist our current dealer network with a product that would meet the upcoming EPA Standards a corporate decision was made in April 2007 to break away from the current outdoor furnace designs and prepare for the new spring 2008 EPA voluntary emission standards. In lieu of creating a new design or wait for current Outdoor Furnace Manufacturers to complete a design to meet these standards AHONA™ elected to partner with an American Corporation importing from Europe; Mr. Zenon Pawlowski, President of the New Horizon Corporation, Inc. located in Sutton,WV.

While the gasification concept is new to the United States, in Europe it has been in existence for over 20 years.

By utilizing this proven European design in existence for the last two decades we are able to insure the ability to offer the consumer a product that is efficient and effective, eliminating the guesswork or fine-tuning that occurs when new designs and technologies that are unproven enter the Marketplace.
